Bangkok, the Athenee Hotel – one of the most prestigious venues in the city offered the surroundings befitting the stature of the event we celebrated – “Apple Day”! The honoured guest was, of course, the fruit from the heart of Europe.
The Polish Embassy in Thailand supported us in the promotion of Polish apples for over 50 participants, including Thai officials and business and media representatives. In May, we also held a press conference with the Brand Ambassador, who credibly conveyed the benefits of Polish apples to the public. Another event was a meeting with Thai distributors combined with a tasting of the fruit from the heart of Europe.

During Thaifex Anuga Asia 2022, we organised a tasting of Polish apples. Five varieties of fruit from the heart of Europe were prepared for the eager public, of which there was no shortage.

We also celebrated “Apple Day” in Malaysia – the event was co-organised by the Polish Embassy, which operates in Kuala Lumpur. Participants had the opportunity to learn about Polish apples and taste their unique flavours. Another event was a press conference attended by our Brand Ambassador, who supported the communication and branded the ongoing promotional activities for Polish apples.

An essential element of the campaign to promote Polish apples in Thailand – is a tasting of our fruit organised for journalists and influencers. Media representatives had the opportunity to learn about apples from the heart of Europe and taste the different varieties we offer in the Thai market. Guests tasted Gala, Golden Delicious, Najdared, Red Chief, Red Delicious and Red Jonaprince fruits. There was no end to the delight in taste, and the highest marks – not just because the meeting was held on the 30th floor of a skyscraper – went to the Gala fruit variety. It’s gratifying to hear positive feedback from people who can share insights with millions of readers and viewers!

Sunday tasting of Polish apples in Lumphini Park. There were smiles of enjoyment and kind words from the Bangkok residents treated to our fruit samples. Many said that this flavour is unique and – to them – exotic! After all, fruit from Polish orchards has come a long way to get here to the Asian market. They arrived fresh, healthy and full of flavour. They won and won the hearts of tasters, who inquired whether this interesting initiative would become a recurring event 🙂

Business and successful trade cooperation with Thai companies is the essence of our activities in the Asian market. Representing European apples from the heart of Poland, we had many meetings and discussions with potential cooperators. We sought opportunities and chances for contact in various ways. Among other things, representatives of our mission visited the Asia Fruit Logistica trade fair in November. It was a hit! We established new business relationships and refreshed commercial “friendships” with entrepreneurs we met at the THAIFEX trade fair in May. And the effects? Polish apples go to wholesalers in Thailand, while customers at local markets can choose sweet and tasty fruit from the heart of Europe.

We also organised an analogous action for Malaysian journalists and influencers. We hosted local media representatives in an elegant hotel, where we presented the qualities of Polish apples. And this time, tasting fruits from the heart of Europe was the meeting’s high point. All varieties offered by Polish fruit growers to the Malaysian market were available for tasting: Gala, Golden Delicious, Najdared, Red Chief, Red Delicious and Red Jonaprince. They all gained a reputation for being exceptionally tasty, but there could only be one winner. Interestingly, contrary to the opinions of the Thai media, the favourite apple variety turned out to be Red Jonaprince! As you can see, every country has its taste 🙂

The happy residents of the Malaysian capital, who had the opportunity to find themselves in Tamantugu Park on a particular November morning, spoke of great happiness. This is because they came across our campaign promoting apples from the heart of Europe. Polish fruit we served to a sizable group of attendees enjoyed excellent reviews for their taste, colour, juiciness and pleasant crunch. In total, almost 200 kilograms of apples were “crunched”! By the way, those gathered learned more about our activities, available varieties and the health-promoting properties of Polish fruits. We handed out interesting informational materials to those interested.

Bangkok 6 a.m. Capital’s Lumphini Park in the centre of the city. Varans and squirrels roam their space, and dozens of locals take the time before work to stroll or run along the park’s numerous paths and jogging trails laid out especially for them. On December 8, a real surprise awaited them – namely, almost 200 kilograms of apples from the heart of Europe. Polish fruits, as part of the promotional campaign, were distributed to healthy lifestyle enthusiasts, enjoying great interest and excellent taste reviews 🙂 Importantly, it was not only apples that caught the attention of residents, as a large group listened attentively to the information provided on the health-promoting properties of our fruits. We also gave Thai runners leaflets about the campaign and the unique European fruit.
