Grilled apples with almond sauce with pine nuts and fruit

Grilled apples with almond sauce with pine nuts and fruit

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 Apples
  • Milk 800ml
  • Vanilla pod – 1 pc
  • Pine nuts 35 g
  • Raspberries 200g
  • Black Cherries 200g
  • Fresh Melissa leaves- 10 – 12 leaves and buds,
  • Long-grain rice 200g,
  • Caster sugar – 30g

Put the rice in a pot, pour in the milk. Cut the vanilla lengthwise, scrape out the tiny seeds and add to the milk with the rice. Cook for about 15-18 minutes – until rice is tender. Next, leave the pot in a warm place for about 10 minutes to allow the rice to thoroughly cook.

Wash apples, cut into slices of about 2 cm. Then cut out the centers. Sprinkle the apple slices with powdered sugar. Grill on both sides for 1 minute each.

Wash and dry the black cherries and raspberries. Cut into smaller pieces.

Bake the pine nuts for about 2-3 minutes at 180°C

Put warm milk with rice on a deep plate, arrange grilled apples, cherries, raspberries and sprinkle with roasted pine nuts. Add the fresh melissa leaves and tops as garnish.
