Roasted chicken legs with apples, buckwheat honey and fresh thyme

Roasted chicken legs with apples, buckwheat honey and fresh thyme

Ingredients 4 servings:

  • 4 Chicken legs (approx. 600 g)
  • 2 Apples
  • 1 Onion
  • Fresh Thyme 20 g
  • Buckwheat honey – 80g
  • Garlic 2 cloves
  • Lemon juice – 50ml
  • salt, pepper to taste.

Clean and wash the chicken thighs thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper. Chop the thyme.
Marinate the chicken thighs in fresh thyme (half the amount) and honey(30g). Set aside in the refrigerator for 12h.

Cut the onion into feathers, fry with a small amount of vegetable oil. Toss with lemon juice; arrange onions in baking dish.
Put the chicken pieces on top of the onions. Bake for about 45 minutes at 145°C

Wash the apples and cut into pieces. Put the rest of the honey and the apples on a hot pan. Then add the chopped garlic and and the remaining fresh thyme. Fry for about 3-4 minutes-, stirring constantly.

After the chicken is baked, put the caramelized fried apples on top

Serve the dish hot.
